This year we participated in the SPLITDAY AOSTA VALLEY, organized by our friend and great expert Ettore Personnettaz with the support of Luca Spoladore, Luca Bastia, Leonardo, Patrucco, Emanuele Rua, Mirko Boccadoro (HSriders) and Nicola “Tux” Chanoux.
Due to a health issue, I only participated at a photographic level. I couldn’t present the new “Raventail 160 cm” splitboard on Saturday afternoon or join the snow trip on Sunday..
It’s better to stay safe and avoid getting infected by others’ viruses, especially considering the terrible stomach flu going around in the past few days.
“Big Luke”, Luca Bonamico, has also been hit by a terrible flu and has stayed cozy in Sestriere with his lovely family.
For those who don’t know, Luca Bonamico has been a Rider, Beta-tester, and Filmmaker for the “WE ARE PLP” collective for several years.
Too bad, he could have shown off his PLP Raven 160 Split, which he’s been using since last season, and shown his skills in both uphill and downhill in the POWDER!
Passion, friendship, and empty glasses....

THE BOSS'S COMMENT
“Everything went well – says Ettore Personnettaz – and the snow conditions turned out to be less complicated than expected. It was a bit warm for those who went to Testa Bassa di Crevacol, a bit chilly with some fresh powder for the group heading towards Col Serena, and more technical snow for those who went towards the Gran Creton valley. But our gathering is “no-stress”, not just about snowboarding, but also about watching films (the short film Kazak Experience and a video made by Picture), learning how to build splitboards (thanks to Comera), and enjoying the best local specialties (at Le Vieux Bourg – Ristorante Pizzeria di Etroubles and of course at Camping Pineta di Saint-Oyen, our base camp for the event every year). I think everyone had fun and learned something new, so I’ll see you all in December 2024 for the 10th anniversary of the Splitboard Day Aosta Valley.
